New Website and 2022 Updates:
2021... PHEW. It's been wild. Is there more to say? Yes, but that's another post. ;)
With the new-coming year we have made distinct changes that we thought would be easier to condense into a single blog post instead of a massive social media post. So... we present: CHANGES COMING.
We're adding RoseE as an employee (Cheering, so much cheering)
You may or may not know the origin story of FM Aerial & Movement Arts, but RoseE has been involved with the studio from the very beginning, in the days when the studio was known as Total Woman, and when in good faith we tried (and failed) at becoming an association versus an LLC. (failing forward, friends)
RoseE started with us as an independent pole instructor. We wanted to keep the structure as lean (and easily dissolvable) as possible. However, this presented us with some challenges that we are happy to now be able to change.
We can now add add class packages and memberships so that people can take any class that they so wish, to make the studio a bit more cohesive, and less confusing. We can also market RoseE's classes A LO MAXIMO. *excitement*
RoseE currently teaches beginner and mixed levels pole on Mondays and Wednesdays.
New Class Structure and Pricing
In an effort to make things as simple as possible, we are diverting from our traditional structure of class series. In the past we only had 4-6 week series available where people would need to sign up for a bulk of classes at once. We are now switching to drop-in style, with a few exceptions.
Classes are now a standard $25 drop in for both pole AND aerial arts. Pole classes will be capped at 8 (unless we have friends who do not mind sharing a pole) and Aerial Arts adult classes will be 8. There will not be sharing of poles, but we will be sharing fabrics/lyras.
OPEN STUDIO/OPEN POLE: Is now a standard $10 drop-in.
CLASS PACKAGES AND MEMBERSHIPS: 4/10/20 pack and an unlimited membership. You can use these for ANY regularly scheduled classes.
FREE CLASSES: Currently we have Bambi's Bootywerk, where all the proceeds go to the RACC. Now we are adding a strength and conditioning class that is also free/cash donation with all the proceeds going to buying new equipment and replacing old equipment for the class (resistance bands, yoga blocks, mobility peanuts, etc.)
INTRODUCTORY CLASSES are 45min and $10, these are our Intro to Pole and Intro to Aerial Arts, that we will have consistently throughout the month for people to try first.
4-WEEK INTRO TO POLE will still be a thing. We think it is a great way to introduce people back into movement in a gentle and not-scary way. These will be offered at least once a month.
Running an aerial arts and pole studio is expensive dudes. We have tried for as long as possible to keep our prices down, but as the cost of everything rises, we can't keep low rates and make the necessary updates that we are hoping to make. Thank you for understanding .. we'd like to stick around for a while!
All of this to say:
In the beginning, FM Aerial & Movement Arts was incredibly fragile, but we've come a long way and are surviving some pretty tough times, so this is all to say:
We plan on sticking around for quite some time, and have plenty of ideas to bring to life, and we have you to thank.
We appreciate every single person that has come through our doors and has given us the chance to get to know you a bit and teach you what we love. Thank you <3
