Youth Aerial Silks Level II Pre-requisites

Pre-requisites to join our level II Aerial Silks classes, as shown in the video (video is sped up about 1.5x)

  • Have taken our fabrics classes for at least two months. We need students to be familiar with the names of skills and the structure of class/ class etiquette.

  • Classic Climb on both sides to the top, able to control the descent and comes down hand over hand.

  • Little Russian Climb, be able to wrap like a classic climb in the air before coming down.

  • Confidently able to put on the wraps for hip key and comfortably key over on both sides and take both hands off.

  • Able to straddle back from low knot and high knot with good form: hands near face, flat back, and a controlled lift. Familiar with crotchet, high star, gazelle, and gazelle drop. (not shown).

  • Able to put on aerial footlocks. Able to consistently get even footlocks in double footlock.

  • Comfortably enter Crossback Straddle with straight legs and a flat back. (no bent knees or arching through back)
